What we’re studying

A focused introduction to reading and analysing diaries and letters for IGCSE English Language. Rather than a single set text, this class builds the skills to tackle personal non-fiction — how writers use voice, tone and detail to convey real thoughts and feelings, how the private nature of a diary or the direct address of a letter shapes the writing, and how to pick out and comment on language and structure in the exam. Ideal for sharpening confident, well-supported analysis of unseen non-fiction sources.
